“Badder to the Bone” fearless Michael Doherty’s review
A Meaningful Music Monday Music Review from Michael Doherty GO: “Eliza Neals is a fierce and fearless warrior, waging battle from the realm of the blues, with power and soul on her side, heard not just in that great voice of hers, but in her work on piano as well. Her new album, Badder To The Bone, features mostly original material, written or co-written by Eliza Neals. It follows 2020’s Black Crow Moan, and like that album, this one features some excellent musicians backing her…”
Fearless I try to stay on course the process of creating is so very overwhelming most cannot complete it. I stay scared and don’t ever let up on the petal knowing eventually either I crash or wake up in my bed the next day going “I made it.”
“Yes we find at our side just when we need her the most, as we struggle through whatever this bizarre reality throws at us. We can persevere.” I am glad to be here helping as I have been told I saved so many with my music thru divorces, relationships, grieving and more. I don’t write sometimes until its right. “This is a song that kind of creeps up on you and soon envelopes you in the blues, a song that takes its time. Her vocal approach and style here are reminiscent of Janis Joplin at moments. Her voice has that raw power and honesty.” Check out ‘Queen of the Nile’ and you can make your own conclusions. I don’t specifically think about who I sound like when I perform, but if it reminds you of someone famous that’s a good thing.
“Sounds like a sexy slow dance, a stranger sliding up to you from the shadows, casting her charms upon you. And if you’re not careful, it will be you who is crying…” Not to many ways but I would rather your read his fearless review thanks Mr. Doherty.
