BB Kings NYC Closing Party w/ Buddy Guy and Bobby Rush!

The Party on 42nd Street at the Now CLOSED BB Kings NYC Blues Club and Grill started on the line to get in! Heavy Hearts inside the club as we watched the last show. A space that has been so very good to New York City. I have seen many a great shows inside BB’s and performed here as a guest.

Unreal feelings to watch the great performer Bobby Rush say his goodbye’s to the New York hometown crowd. He created just the stir introducing the one and only BUDDY GUY to the stage! The show seemed like forever but it was over way to soon…

SO the SHOW I was opening on JULY 25th for WALTER TROUT inside BB KINGS NYC has been Moved to the HIGHLINE BALLROOM just inside Chelsea! All TICKETS ARE HONORED! I appeared on ABC Channel 7 in New York as they were interviewing people CLICK HERE!

I had the chance to perform with Barrett Strong way back in 2006 at Lucile’s for American Express playing just the piano as he told stories about his writing style and history. Recently I was invited by Popa Chubby for his encore inside BB Kings for his ‘Two Dogs’ tour what a night it was HERE’s VIDEO!

Well I am never ever going to be happy to see such an Iconic club close. It’s a sad state of affairs that somehow the landlord wanted to raise the rent. It makes no sense to me even the cultural affairs office of NYC would seem interested in saving such a great stage. Saving never happens though and all we will have is great memories photos and video of a time on 42nd in a club call B B King…
