Blues Magazine Netherlands, “You Ain’t My Dog No More” reviews lovely Blues-Rock of Eliza Neals

So cool to grab a review from another country like “the Netherlands” a place close to the UK but so very far away in my mind to where it exactly is. Then of course is the language barrier lol. I visited as an opera singer with my troup of performers way back when… here is what BLUES MAGAZINE said about my new single “You Ain’t My Dog no More”…

The Detroit-born Eliza Neals sings just as nice as she looks. And her career began just as beautiful. Eliza was working and singing in the back of a shop when Motown songwriter Barrett Strong (of among other things: I Heard It Through The Grapevine) came in and immediately offered her a contract with his label. Since then, Eliza four solid rockblues albums and number five is expected next year. As a foretaste of this new album she has released the singleYou Ain’t My Dog No More.”

Right from the first seconds Eliza holds on tight and won’t let them go. She sounds a little like a combination between Beth Hart, Janis Joplin and Robert Plant and they rock from start to finish. The song is dedicated to one or more EX’s who have treated her wrong and is therefore also an absolute must for anyone who has had a conflict with someone and just need to blow off steam. Eliza sings everything and screaming with her is allowed. Really a fantastic bluesrock song you‘re singing along in no time (or screams) and still for a long time in your head stays in place, and that is certainly not a crime.
THANK YOU for listening I’m on my way soon to visit!
